Leo was severely burned, but his extraordinary journey toward recovery was documented by Scott Helman and The Boston Globe to great effect. It's a unique look into a life unlike most of ours, but what's truly special is the relationship between Leo and his caregiver. It's a story of tragedy, hope, love, and resolution.

It all started with an innocent moment. Leo was sitting by a fire with his siblings, but when they went to play outside, Leo stayed inside — eventually falling into the fire. Now, Leo depends on his caregiver, Alex, who's been with him every step of the way. They've got a beautiful relationship, and it's one we felt compelled to highlight.
