29-year-old Jason Warnock never could have imagined the events that would unfold on an otherwise-routine commute to work. When he looked up and saw a driver in an SUV teetering above a 30-foot cliff, he knew that his next actions could be the difference between a stranger living or dying.
After climbing the cliff and running over to the precariously positioned vehicle, Jason convinced the driver to roll down his window and allow for the rescue. That driver was 23-year-old Mathew Sitko, and though traumatized and rattled, he will forever be thankful for the heroic actions of a complete stranger on that day. After the rescue, Jason fled the scene and continued on his way to work as if it was all just a part of his day. Fortunately, the police found him and gave him the recognition he deserves.
We here at SFG love it when people act out of the kindness of their heart, and hope the story of Jason Warnock's bravery spreads to anyone who believes in the genuine love for strangers in need...wherever and whomever they may be.
