Back in 2006, Oprah sat down with young Anthony Sukto. When Anthony was only 8 years old, he was the victim of a terrible knife attack from the hands of his father. Anthony's father also stabbed and killed Anthony's mom, and Anthony successfully played dead in order to escape his father's wrath.

When little Anthony's father left the room, the boy was able to dial 911 and request an an ambulance. You can hear the terror in his voice as he's talking to the emergency operator. Even after being stabbed multiple times, Anthony showed an amazing amount of bravery and steadfastness, especially for an 8-year-old boy.

At first, the ambulances arrived at the wrong house because Anthony's phone number was registered to the wrong address. First responders struggled to find exactly where the call came from, and the situation became worse when Anthony's hung up the phone suddenly when his father returned to the room. Fortunately, police and medical professionals were able to pinpoint his location before his Father could do more damage to the young boy.

Anthony's father was later arrested and is serving a lifetime sentence for the murder of Anthony's mother. Anthony is now an adult, and surprisingly forgives his father for what he has done. He hopes to one day sit with his dad and talk to him about what drove him to do such terrible things.
