Jenny Karpan was a relatively new Walmart cashier when she encountered an elderly man who didn't have enough cash for his groceries. In an act that truly demonstrates the "holiday spirit," Jenny dug into her own pockets to cover the rest of his bill. While she never got the gentleman's name or contact information, other customers took note of her random act of kindness and notified her manager.

We're glad to see Jenny's good deed get news coverage. This makes us happy not just because she deserves recognition for being so generous, but also because this young woman sets a tremendous example of how to treat others with compassion. What an inspiring way to pay it forward this holiday season...bravo, Jenny!
