At the 2015 VIBE XX dance competition, Cookies blew the entire audience away with their moving performance. They were awarded 1st place for this routine, and after watching it's clear to see why. Rather than deliver a traditional dance piece, the dance group decided to spread awareness of an important issue, then construct a routine surrounding that theme. The striking performance begins with the words "Every day 5,760 more children become orphans" superimposed on a screen, and that sets the stage for this emotionally-charged dance. The costumes, song choice, and choreography all reflect the challenges orphans face, and in the YouTube description there is a link that allows people to donate to World Vision or simply spread awareness.

Cookies was founded in 2002, and according to their Facebook bio they started out as a group of high schoolers dancing in a garage. Since then, the group has received worldwide acclaim. The group is currently currently comprised of 32 members and is based in the San Diego County area. Not only was this piece stunning to watch, but by also including information about an important issue Cookies made this dance all the more special. Watch their touching performance in the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
