Grab the tissues for this one. Five-year-old Seth Lane is about to hit you right in the chest with his heart-wrenching plea for help. Seth suffers from Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), also known as "bubble boy disease." As soon as the camera starts rolling in the video below, Seth holds up a yellow sign introducing himself. This is followed by a series of other signs explaining that he was born without an immune system and that he's currently in the hospital awaiting a second bone marrow transplant. According to an interview Seth's father did with the Daily Mail, Seth didn't have contact with other children until he was two-and-a-half. Because of how vulnerable the disease makes him, Seth has had to live most of his life from inside the walls of a hospital.
Towards the end of the video, Seth holds up a sign explaining that on March 27, 2015, people from all over the world will be showing their support for him by wearing yellow. His plea for help is a simple one: wear yellow on March 27, then take a picture and post it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with #wearyellowforseth. Easy enough, right? Join the campaign and show your support for Seth, it's as easy as throwing on a tee-shirt.
I definitely know what I'm wearing come March 27th, do you? Watch the video below and share your thoughts with us in the comments section!
