Talk about holiday giving! These shoppers got a heartwarming surprise while out making purchases at a local Fred Meyer. Thanks to a nonprofit organization called Practice Kindness, a randomly selected group of shoppers didn't have to pay for their groceries for the day. The gesture is so impactful that many of the selected shoppers are moved to tears. All of them are definitely shocked when approached by a group of kids, clad in Practice Kindness shirts, offering to pay for all their groceries. Watching this brought a smile to my face. It's so awesome to see people giving to others, especially when they least expect it.
Practice Kindness is a fairly new organization, founded in 2013, with the simple goal of spreading kindness through random acts that inspire others. Their mission last year was to do a random act of kindness every day for 26 days during the holiday season. Each day, they choose a family to buy groceries for and experienced the pure joy that comes with doing selfless deeds for others. Practice Kindness is already planning their acts of kindness for this year's upcoming season. The beauty of their mission is that no matter what they choose to do, they can't go wrong with performing kindness towards others.
As you can tell from the video, anyone can partake in giving back to others. The kids who participated in this Practice Kindness giveaway are nothing but smiles as they watch their acts of generosity play out in the lives of real people. We love sharing touching moments like this! It's not just a video, it truly does inspire. The great part is that you don't have to be a part of an organization or wait for the holidays to start doing random acts of kindness. It starts as soon as you want it to.
