John David Glaude was sitting on his couch watching TV one day when he decided to make a drastic change in his life. Something inside of him clicked, and from that moment on he knew he could take charge of his weight...and he was determined to do so. Two years and 160 pounds later, he has completely transformed his appearance. As the viral video he posted shows, however, there were some aesthetic drawbacks to his metamorphosis.

In his video that caught Ellen's eye, he lifts his shirt showing the loose skin that now adorns his body. While some people might hide this fact behind clothes, John exudes confidence and pride in his new look. He sits down with Ellen to discuss his transformation and the struggles he went through leading up to his decision to make a change. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that one-third of Americans are now obese which leads to numerous life-threatening diseases like heart disease and type-2 diabetes. John David Glaude's journey is a wonderful story of someone who put the fate of his health in his own hands. What did you think of his story and how confident he is in his new body?
