This short film depicts an awful scene, but it's worth noting that the specific incident portrayed below was performed by actors, and that this child wasn't actually harmed. It's important to remember though, that the reason it feels so real is because it could be real — in fact, it happens far too often, so this is a poignant reminder.
He was already rushing. To make matters worse, he forgot his cell phone. He could have had no idea how much this small mistake would end up costing him. In his hurry to get back, he forgot all about his daughter in the backseat.
He makes it through the meeting, and later in the day, he goes to pick his daughter up at day camp to realize they were closed for the day. It only gets worse from there.
