While this mom was driving, she decided to film her son and daughter as they sang and danced in their seats. The video ends with a dramatic conclusion. Though no one is quite sure if this video is real or staged, it still poses a great point that you need to pay attention while you are driving. Not only will you put yourself at risk, but you will put the lives of your children at risk as well.

Distracted driving became an increasingly important issue as technology like texting became prevalent, and the new craze of filming your kids in the car only adds to the number of accidents inattentive driving causes. The CDC has gathered information concerning distracted drivers:
 - In 2012, 3,328 people were killed in crashes involving a distracted driver, compared to 3,360 in 2011. An additional 421,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver in 2012, a 9% increase from the 387,000 people injured in 2011.
 - In 2011, nearly one in five crashes (17%) in which someone was injured involved distracted driving.
 - In December 2012, more than 171 billion text messages were sent or received in the US.

Is filming a video and getting a few views on YouTube really worth it? Share your thoughts on distracted driving in the comments below and check out this video to see what happened in this case.
