Blushing brides come in all kinds of beautiful shapes and sizes. However, this "Momzilla" is hell-bent on destroying her daughter's dress-fitting day. In an episode of ABC's social experiment, What Would You Do?, two paid actresses pretend to be mother and daughter, demonstrating the contentious dynamic that the folks at NYC's Kleinfeld Bridal so often see during bridal fittings. Watch as this overbearing, verbally abusive "mother" eviscerates her daughter during what should be a special moment, criticizing her weight so viciously that bystanders in the bridal shop have no choice but to intervene. In fact, the scenario is so uncomfortable that we're having a tough time envisioning this happening in real life!
However, here at SF Globe, it warmed our hearts to see strangers step in during such a tense situation. It would've been very easy for these women to look the other way, but so many of them instead chose to comfort someone they didn't even know (we're practically jumping out of our seats cheering for the lady who confronted the "Momzilla" directly). The bottom line is that every woman deserves to feel beautiful (especially on her wedding day!) and we tip our caps to the bridal bystanders who decided to speak up and ensure that that happened.
What would you do in this situation? Would you ever be able to sit back and quietly witness this unfold, or would you simply have to step in? Sound off in the comments below and make sure to share if you found this as intriguing as we did.
