When Ashley England from China Grove, North Carolina went out to dinner with her son Riley during Labor Day weekend, she didn't expect their evening to take the turn that it did. Riley is an eight-year-old special needs child who began having seizures when he was just 18 months old. Riley's condition sometimes makes it difficult for the England family to carry on in public without issues.
During the family's dinner outing, the Netflix app that Riley was playing with stopped working, causing Riley to get upset. It wasn't long before Riley's state of frustration started attracting attention from the other guests at the restaurant. England wanted to avoid making an even bigger scene so she thought it'd be best to wait with Riley in the car and take the food to-go.
England's husband Jason stopped her from transporting Riley to the car, telling her to give it a few more minutes. Soon, the family's food had arrived along with a very teary-eyed waitress. The waitress approached the family and told them someone had paid for their meal. She handed over a note that read, "God only gives special children to special people."
It's always nice to see people in the world doing nice things for others. It's easy to get discouraged by all the bad news that is constantly flying around social media, which is one of the many reasons that make this story so special. The mysterious diner who took care of the England family that night chose to remain anonymous, but his/her incredible deed will never be forgotten.
When Riley's behavior started attracting attention, England thought the best she could do was take him to the car and wait for the food. However, a request from her husband to stay a few minutes, ended up yielding a beautiful surprise. This is a photo of the note that a mysterious diner left for the England family.
