When a high school graduate and a retired firefighter meet for the second time, it's a moment too beautiful for words. In 1998 a burning home in Wenatchee, Washington required the help of local firemen, which was when Mike Hughes stepped onto the scene. Hughes entered the burning home and found nine-month-old Dawnielle Davison trapped inside a crib surrounded by growing flames.

Hughes' quick instincts allowed him to rescue Davison and rush her to safety outside the house. She was returned to her loving family and Hughes was hailed a town hero. Then, 17 years later, 18-year-old Davison received a Facebook message from a stranger that hit her right in the chest. Hughes messaged Davison, explaining that he was the firefighter who saved her as a baby, and asked how she was doing.

To say that Davison was shocked at the message would be a huge understatement. She responded and then later invited him to attend her high school graduation, to which Hughes gladly accepted. The news report shows them taking pictures together at the ceremony. I can't imagine how Davison felt meeting the man who saved her life all those years ago.
