This man already had 5 DUIs before passing out drunk in his truck again. When he wakes up? He never expected this.

Though this was a prank amongst friends, the motivating message behind it is anything but funny. Drunk driving is a serious problem that continues to plague this country. The staggering statistics we found regarding DUIs are appalling.

According to MADD.org, "An average drunk driver has driven drunk 80 times before [their] first arrest." That means these intoxicated morons put themselves and others in danger nearly 100 times before they're actually held accountable for their reckless actions.

Also, despite popular belief, "Only time will sober a person up. Drinking strong coffee, exercising or taking a cold shower will not help." So, if you're buzzing but think you'll be all right after a caffeine binge and frigid shower - think again.

One of the more shocking pieces of information we came across was the following: "In 2012, 29.1 million people admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol - that’s more than the population of Texas." And that's only counting the people brave enough to admit their wrongdoing. Crazy, right?

Drunk driving is a major issue that we all can take steps to eliminate. We just need to be more responsible.
