On Memorial Day weekend, bikers flood the streets of Washington DC for the annual Rolling Thunder "Ride For Freedom." The purpose of the the gathering is to honor our veterans and members of the military labelled missing in action.

But besides the motorcycles, Rolling Thunder has another tradition that less people know about: Marine Sgt. Chambers. In 2002, Chambers was so overwhelmed with emotion during the ceremony that he jumped into the middle of the street and saluted all the bikers that passed him. While most people would have left after a few moments, Sgt. Chambers continued saluting until all the bikers had passed, several hours later.

Since that first time at Rolling Thunder, Sgt. Chambers has made it his mission to attend every Rolling Thunder and salute the bikers in Washington DC. Ooh Rah, Sergeant!
